Mary Fallin Brags about Tax Cuts While Oklahoma is Bankrupt

Stay classy Mary.  Seems this kind of reckless Washington Spending didn't stop with your Congressional days and has now made it all the way back to our great state.  Mmmm that tasty $500 million budget short fall is best served with a little tax cut for the rich on the side.

“Change is hard at times, but hopefully they’ll all be able to come to the table and work something out,” she added.

Mary Fallin ran on a campaign of hope and change in Oklahoma.  We were too fiscally responsible before.  We didn't spend enough the way the TARP bailout did!  We need to be more like Washington not less.  More bailouts for everyone!  We'll just call them "tax cuts" instead... or "business incentives."

Massive OK Budget Shortfall Triggers Tax Cuts

Seems the great state of Oklahoma has a trigger for some income tax cuts for FY 2012.

A state board approved cutting the state’s income tax rate Tuesday after approving healthier tax collection estimates for the upcoming fiscal year.

The action reduces the state’s top individual income tax rate from 5.5 percent to 5.25. The lower rate takes effect Jan. 1.

Wow - what a genius idea!!  When we don’t have any money, and we’re cutting jobs and services by 3-5% statewide the best way to combat this $500 million short fall is to…. wait for it….. cut taxes.  This is exactly how we should solve our problems. 
Golly gee - I’m sure glad we elected someone as smart as Mary Fallin.  She sure is brilliant.

Fallin voted against limiting credit cards for high-risk college students

Fallin voted against an amendment that limited credit lines for full-time college students ages 18-20 to the greater 20 percent of a student’s annual income or $500 if there was no cosigner on the account.

It prohibited companies from issuing cards to students who already had one. It required creditors to obtain proof of income, and credit and income history from college students before issuing a credit card.

The amendment was designed to help keep our youth from becoming buried under massive amounts of credit card debt while trying to finish their education.  Something DC Mary cares nothing about.

Once again taking the sides of lining CEO's pockets... instead of helping our youth and our future.

Fallin voted to raise mortgage insurance premiums for high-risk borrowers

Earlier this year we found out that DC Mary hates the poor.  Turns out this isn’t a new feeling for her, Mary has long voted against helping those living in poverty. 

Fallin voted for an amendment that overhauled the Federal Housing Administration‟s (FHA) mortgage lending practices and required the FHA to base each borrower‟s mortgage insurance premiums on the risk that the borrower poses to the FHA Mortgage Insurance Fund.

Mortgage insurance premiums would be based on borrower‟s credit history, loan-to- value ratio, debt-to-income ratio and on FHA‟s historical experience with similar borrowers.

DC Mary loves to vote lock step with her rich DC friends and continuously turn her back on hard working Oklahomans.

DC Mary takes the side of credit card companies over Oklahomans

DC Mary Fallin voted against banning predatory lending by credit card companies. 

 The bill prohibited credit card companies from retroactively increasing interest rates on existing balances, issuing finance charges on balances for days not included in the most recent billing cycle, charging fees on outstanding balances created only from interest accrued in the previous billing period and increasing interest rates based on a credit card user‟s credit behavior with other companies. The measure also required companies to send statements at least 25 days before payment was due and give at least 45 days notice before increasing rates.

But for some reason Mary thought it would be a good idea to let credit card companies continue to bury people under massive amounts of debt and unfairly make changes to peoples policies.

DC Mary does it again and shows how little she actually knows about common sense or standing up for Oklahoma.

The Lost Ogle Gets it; Mary Fallin Doesn't

So we just thought we would share some of the key points with you all.

I don’t know about you, but some quotes from this commercial really stood out.  And they stood out in a “WTF?” type of way.  They were:

• “Are you fed up with Washington?  I know I am, and that’s one of the reasons I’m running for governor.”
• “We need a governor who stand up and fight those liberals in Washington and I will.”
• “No one will work harder for Oklahoma…no one.”

Here’s my question.  If Mary Fallin is such a “hard worker” and wants to fight Washington liberals so bad, why doesn’t she just go work in Washington?  You know, like become a congresswomen or something like that.

Wait!  I know why!  She’s already don’t that!  And now she’s quitting that job because those Washington liberals were passing unfunded spending bills…bills  that she supported and voted for.  Bills like that pesky $700-billion bank bailout.

Now I’m no scientist – I just pretend to be one at bars – but the fact that Mary is quitting her current job because it’s too difficult makes me think she’s more of a quitter than hard worker.  In fact, it makes her look like nothing more than a career opportunist…a career opportunist like all those other people in Washington that she’s allegedly fed up with.
